
Easton and Church Hope Railway Company
Incorporated on 25th July 1867
A small 1½ mile line on the Isle of Portland, Dorset. The company were authorised for a number of extensions to the line itself and time to complete the work, and it wasn’t fully opened until 1902.
Capital £30,000 in shares of £20 each. Loans of £10,000 (possibly converted to debenture stock). New capital of £50,000 and £16,600 raised in 1884 for extensions, and again in 1887 by £40,000 and £13,300 respectively.
