Felixstowe Railway and Pier Company
Incorporated on 19th July 1875
A line connecting Felixtowe with the Great Eastern Railway. It opened in 1877 and was worked by the Great Eastern company from 1879. In the same year the name was changed to the Felixstowe Railway and Dock Company as they were authorised to build a tidal basin, replacing the pier. The line was sold to the Great Eastern Railway.
Capital £130,000 in shares of £10 each and loans of £43,000. New capital for Dock £40,000 and £13,300 respectively, this was abandoned and further new capital of £150,000 and £50,000 raised in 1879.
