Hemel Hempstead Railway Company
Incorporated on 12th July 1863.
A short line intended to connect the London and North Western and the Midland Railways in the area. The route was extended and deviated, and the connection to the LNWR never built. The line as built was worked by the Midland Railway, passing to that company in 1886.
Capital £20,000 in £10 shares and £6,600 in loans. Capital for extension in 1866 of £170,000 and £56,000 respectively.
