Horncastle Railway Company
Incorporated on 10th July 1854.
Originally named the Horncastle and Kirkstead Railway, the line ran 7 miles between the towns. It connected with the Great Northern Railway and was worked by that company from opening in 1855, later passing to the London and North Eastern Railway.
