Leeds, Bradford and Halifax Junction Railway Company
Incorporated on 30th June 1852. A line connecting the towns running from a junction with the Lancashire and Yorkshire Railway in Bradford. It opened in 1854, and was extended to Ardsley in 1857 and to join the London and North Western Railway in 1861. The line amalgamated with the Great Northern Railway in 1865.
Capital £300,000 in shares of £25 each, and loans of £83,300. Raised in two parts, at original incorporation, and the following year in 1853 for a branch to Bradford. Additional raised in 1855 of £150,000 and £60,700 respectively.
