Leominster and Kington Railway Company
Incorporated on 10th July 1854.
A 13 mile line from Leominster (and the Shrewsbury and Hereford Railway) to Kington, later passing over the Welsh border to Presteign. It first opened in 1857, the extensions in 1875, and the line passed to the Great Western Railway in 1898.
Original capital £80,000 in shares of £10 each. Loans of £26,000. Capital for extension in 1871 of £40,000 in £10 shares, and £13,000 in loans.
