North Metropolitan Railway and Canal Company
Incorporated on 18th August 1882.
Formed to rename the Regent’s Canal, City, and Docks Railway Co., which had been formed to purchase the Regents Canal. The railway was to involve lines from Paddington to the Royal Albert Dock, also including connections with the Midland and Great Northern networks. This railway was named the ‘City Lines’, and was again separated from the canal, and never built by this company.
