Norwich and Brandon Railway Company
Incorporated on 10th May 1844.
A 38 mile line connecting the towns with a junction with the Yarmouth and Norwich Railway. Opened in 1845, the company then formed the Norfolk Railway with the Yarmouth and Norwich company, which subsequently joined the Eastern Counties Railway in 1862. The line finally passed to the Great Eastern Railway.
Capital £380,000 including 22,000 shares of £10 each, and ‘additional’ shares of £2 each.
