Oldbury Railway Company
Incorporated on 11th August 1881
Originally the Dudley and Oldbury Junction Railway (1873), running under 4 miles to connect the London and North Western with the South Staffordshire Railway. It was re-named the Oldbury Railway and the capital reduced in 1881, opening in 1884 and amalgamating with the Great Western Railway in 1894.
Capital £100,000 in shares of £10 each, loans of £33,000. New capital £70,000 and loans of £23,000 raised in1878, and debenture stock created. Total capital reduced in 1881 to £70,000 and £23,000 respectively, after sections abandoned.
