Incorporated on 25th June 1886.
Formed to take over the ‘southern section’ of the Midland and South Western Junction Railway, a 12 mile line between Eling and Fawley, which was never built as planned and was finally abandoned in 1891.
Capital £250,000 in shares of £10 each. Loans of £80,000. New capital of £72,000 and loans £24,000 raised in 1889.
