South Leicestershire Railway Company
Incorporated on 18th August 1859
Originally incorporated as the Nuneaton and Hinckley Railway, a 4½ mile line connecting with the Trent Valley Railway. It was re-named in 1860 and opened in 1862, worked by the London and North Western company and passing to them in 1867.
