Incorporated on 3rd August 1846
An amalgamation of the South Staffordshire Junction Railway and the Trent Valley, Midland and Grand Junction Railway. Forming a line from Dudley and the Oxford Worcester & Wolverhampton Railway, to the Midland’s Birmingham and Derby branch in Walsall, also extending to Stourbridge and Cannock, (nearly 30 miles). It later passed to the London and North Western Railway.
Capital £945,000 in shares of £12 each. Loans of £315,000.
