South Wales Mineral Railway Company
Incorporated on 15th August 1853.
An 11 mile line from the South Wales Railway to Glamorganshire. It was extended to the Briton Ferry Docks, and leased to the Glyncorrwg Coal Company in 1855, but later passed to the Port Talbot Railway in 1908 which joined the Great Western network.
Original capital £85,000 in shares of £10 each, and £28,000 in loans. Various increases into the 1870’s. Total capital £161,775 and loans of £48,000.
