A short line under 2 miles long, subscribed to by the Manchester, Sheffield and Lincolnshire Railway. It opened in 1876, never used for passenger transport, and passed to the London and North Eastern Railway.
Original capital £33,000 in shares of £10 each, and loans of £11,000. In 1877 raised £36,000 in 5% preference shares, and £12,000 on mortgage.
