Stratford-upon-Avon, Towcester and Midland Junction Railway Company
Incorporated on 10th August 1882.
Originally the Easton Neston Mineral and Towcester, Roade and Olney Junction (15th August 1879), a network of short lines linking existing railways in Northamptonshire and Buckinghamshire. It opened in 1881 and in 1882 the company name was changed to the Stratford-upon-Avon, Towcester and Midland Junction Railway. In 1908 the line merged with the East and West Junction, and the Evesham, Redditch and Stratford-upon-Avon Railways to form the Stratford-upon-Avon and Midland Junction Railway.
Original capital £220,000 in shares of £10 each, and loans of £70,300. Reduced to £200,000 and £66,600 respectively when the name was changed, but increased again in 1883, and debenture stock issued in 1887.
