Tendring Hundred Railway Company
Incorporated on 13th August 1859.
A short line running 2½ miles between the Colchester and Stour Valley Railway and Wivenhoe. It opened in 1863 and extended into Colchester, and to smaller towns, partly funded by the Great Eastern Railway who worked the line. It passed to that company in 1883.
Capital £15,000 in £10 shares, and £5,000 in loans. Additional of £25,000 and £8,300 respectively.
