Incorporated on 8th July 1853.
A 6 mile line between the towns (originally planned to run to Epsom) and connecting the London South Western with the London, Brighton and South Coast line. It Opened in 1855 and was leased to the London Brighton company, passing to them fully in 1866.
Capital £45,500 in shares of £10 each, loans of £8,000.
