Wirral Railways Company Ltd
Incorporated on 25th August 1884
Formed to take over the original Wirral Railway Company (inc. June 13th 1883) and the Seacombe, Hoylake and Deeside company, with which it connected. New branches and connecting lines were built and the completed network opened in 1888. A new Wirral Railway Company was incorporated in 1891 to take over the previous concern, and formally amalgamate the two companies.
Capital £600,000 in shares of £10 each, loans of £200,000. Capital was increased by £875,000 between 1884 and 1889, and loans by £291,650.
