Registered by 1908. Formerly the Wolseley Tool and Motor Car Co., taken on by Vickers, Sons and Maxim. The company officially became the Wolseley Motor Co. in 1914, at the time being Britain’s largest car manufacturer selling 3000 vehicles. It also began operations in Montreal and Toronto, Canada as Wolseley Motors Limited. This became British and American Motors after WWI.
Capital £600,000 in 300,000 7% preference shares and 300,000 ordinary shares of £1. Increased by 1920 to 1,500,000 ordinary shares.
