Registered 14th April 1909 to acquire a 60-year concession (from 1901) to explore and deal in petroleum, asphalt and ozokerite throughout the Persian Empire excluding the 5 provinces bordering the Caspian sea. Name changed to Anglo-Iranian Oil Company Limited in 1935 and then to British Petroleum.
Capital £2,000,000 in 1,000,000 preference and 1,000,000 ordinary shares of £1. Several increases and in 1919 was £20,000,000.
