Formed in 1835 with head office in St. Petersburg. Capital in 1909 was 1,500,000 roubles in shares of 150 roubles. By 1916, capital had increased to 2,500,000 roubles in shares of 100 roubles.

Description
The company received 12-year privileges in 40 provinces outside the area of operations of the Russian Fire Insurance Company. In 1847 the privileges given to the Russian Fire Insurance Company and Second Russian Fire Insurance Company expired. The age of free competition started and dozens of new companies started up in the 1870s and 1880s, most specialising in fire insurance. (Source: Boone April 2022)
