Landore Siemens Steel Company, Ltd
Registered 1870 by Carl Wilhelm Siemens, the brother of Werner von Siemens. The company owned a steel production plant in Landore, near Swansea in Wales. In 1871 the company had an weekly output of 1,000 tons of steel. In 1888, five years after the death of Carl Wilhelm Siemens, the company went into voluntary liquidation. The plant was taken over by the American locomotive constructer Messrs. Baldwin & Co. Company number 4916
