Formed to acquire 30 acres on the Wentworth Gold Fields, Lucknow, New South Wales. From the Jackass Flat Gold Mining Co. of New South Wales N.L. and the Wentworth Gold Fields Proprietary Co., Ltd.
Early results paid large dividends to the shareholders but by 1900 the returns of gold had fallen. It was resolved to amalgamate with the Wentworth Gold Fields Proprietary Co., Ltd. in May 1900 but this was not undertaken. In 1900 the original lease was surrendered and new ground nearby acquired. To work the new property a new company was formed called the Rosedale Mining Co., Ltd.
The assets and undertakings of this company where acquired by the Mines and Smelting Co., Ltd. in 1906.
