
Salvador Railway Company Limited
Registered 7th August 1895 as the Salvador Central Railway Company Limited. Name changed 15th March 1897. A 100 mile line from the Port of Acajutla to the city of Santa Ana and San Salvador. The company was still in existence in the 1980’s when all bonds were paid off, being handled by early member of the Bond & Share Society, Pat Berthoud. He obtained control of all outstanding bonds and also many unissued examples and they were readily available in the market at that time.
Capital £500,000 in 25,000 Ordinary shares and 25,000 6% Preference shares of £10.
