Founded in 1897 by Adolf Silverberg to become one of the largest employers in the area. In 1899, Richard Holtkott took over management and his family have shaped the company’s fortunes ever since. The company produced linoleum and also Lincrusta wallpapers and wool felt flooring and owned its own linseed oil factory, jute spinning mill and research laboratory. The company had branches in Berlin and Vienna and was the second-largest German linoleum factory after DLW AG.
