Incorporated on 3rd December 1883
A network of tramways and light railways totalling 48½ miles. Sections opened in 1887-88, and the company was re-named the Cavan and Leitrim Railway Ltd. in 1895 (one of very few with limited liability). It became part of the Great Southern Railways in 1924.
