Cork, Blackrock and Passage Railway Company
Incorporated on 16th July 1846
A similar route as that proposed by the Cork and Passage Railway in 1837. The line was built in 5ft 3in Irish gauge and opened in 1850, but was later converted to 3ft gauge and re-opened in 1900. It was merged with the Great Southern Railway in 1924, but soon after, much of the line was closed.
Capital £130,000 in 6,500 Shares of £20 each. Loans of £43,330. New capital raised for steam vessels and for extensions.
