Issued £2,843,060 (of £2,857,140 authorised), in five tranches:
1st issue, London, January 1910 – £800,000
2nd issue, Brussels, May 1911 – £500,000
3rd issue, London, October 1911 – £500,000
4th issue, Brussels, 1912 – £39,740
5th issue, London & Brussels, January 1913 – £1,003,320
This loan was raised “to cover the cost of expenses: a) for constructing watersupply in the City of Baku in its industrial region, b) for buying out the existing Baku horse tram line Company, c) for lighting the streets by electricity, d) for building school houses and market, e) for making up the special funds of the city and for payment of debts to the State Treasury and private persons.”
