British Anzani Engine Company Ltd

Alessandro Anzani designed a rotary aircraft engine in Paris in 1907. Bleriot used one of his engines in his aircraft that crossed the English Channel in 1909. The British Anzani Engine Company was formed in 1912 and this produced engines for both aircraft, motor cars and motorcycles. The company changed name to British Anzani Engineering Co. Ltd. after WWII and later became British Anzani Group and was finally liquidated in 1980. Dissolved <1932. Company number 125460
