Cheadle Railway, Mineral and Land Company Ltd.
Incorporated on 7th August 1888
A 4 mile standard gauge line in the Staffordshire coalfields, re-named in 1896 as the Cheadle Railway Company Ltd. By 1897 only 2 miles had been completed, and the line was taken over and worked by the North Staffordshire Railway from 1908.
Capital £250,000 in shares of £10 each; £100,000 in 2nd mortgage debenture bonds of £100 each; 1889 £40,000 in 1stmortgage debenture stock created.
