Direct London and Portsmouth Railway Company
Incorporated on 26th June 1846. A proposed 60 mile line between Epsom and Portsmouth, and a junction with the London, Brighton and South Coast Railway. The line was never built, and the company dissolved. A similar route was later used by the Portsmouth Railway.
