East Lincolnshire Railway Company
Incorporated on 26th June 1846
A 48 mile line between Great Grimsby and Boston, connecting the Great Northern and the Manchester, Sheffield and Lincolnshire lines. It was leased to the Great Northern Railway in 1847 for £36,000 per annum in rent, with an option to purchase for £12 10s per share (50%). The line opened in 1848.
Original Capital £600,000 in 24,000 Shares of £25 each. Loans of £200,000.
