Incorporated on 25th June 1886
A pair of lines to connect the towns, parts of which scheme were abandoned in 1889, and replaced with an alternative line between Seaford and Wilmington. Capital was reduced, but the amendments to the original scheme were never constructed.

Original capital £200,000 in £10 shares and loans of £66,600. Amended in 1889 to £90,000 and £30,000 respectively.
