Eden Valley Railway Company
Incorporated on 21st May 1858
A line between the Lancaster and Carlisle, and the South Durham and Lancashire Railways. The 22 mile line was opened in 1862 and became amalgamated with the Stockton and Darlington Railway who had worked the line, in 1862. Subsequently the lines became part of the North Eastern Railway network.
Capital £135,000 in shares of £25 each. Loans of £45,000.
