Garstang and Knott End Railway Company
Incorporated on 30th June 1864.
A line running nearly 12 miles between the Lancaster and Preston Junction Railway and the River Wyre. It was closed between 1872 and 1875, but re-opened after being extended by the Knott End Railway in 1908. The line was absorbed by the London Midland and Scottish Railway during ‘grouping’, and closed in 1930.
Capital £60,000 in shares of £10 each. Loans of £20,000. In 1869 new capital of £30,000 and loans of £10,000 raised, and debenture stock issued.
