
Great Grimsby and Sheffield Junction Railway Company
Incorporated on 21st July 1845.
A line running from Gainsborough to Great Grimsby. It was planned to connect with the Sheffield and Lincolnshire Junction Railway which was not yet incorporated. The line opened fully in 1850 after amalgamating with others to form the Manchester, Sheffield and Lincolnshire Railway.
Capital £1,455,000 divided into 12,000 Whole Shares of £50 each; 32,750 New Shares of £20 each, and 16,000 Quarter Shares of £12.10s each. Loans of £483,600.
