Hoylake Railway Company
Incorporated on 28th July 1863.
A line from Seacombe Ferry to the town and on to Birkenhead. It was opened between Hoylake and Birkenhead in 1866 but fell into financial difficulty and was bought by the Hoylake and Birkenhead Rail and Tramway Company (later the Seacombe, Hoylake and Deeside Railway) in 1872. This later became the Wirral Railway.
Capital £100,000 in shares of £10 each, and loans of £33,300. Extension capital of £90,000 in shares and £30,000 loans authorised in 1865, and preference shares to replace any un-issued.
