Leeds and Bradford Railway Company
Incorporated on 4th July 1844.
A 13½ mile line connecting the cities, with a junction with the West Riding Union Railway. It opened in 1846 and was leased to the Midland Railway. It was extended to meet the East Lancashire Railway and formally passed to the Midland Railway 1851.
Capital £900,000 in shares of £50 each. Loans of £300,000.
