
Liverpool Overhead Railway Company
Incorporated on 24th July 1888.
An electric elevated railway in the Liverpool Docks. It opened in 1893 and was the first of its kind. The line was not nationalised in 1948, and due to lack of funds it was closed in 1957 needing much repair.
Capital £450,000 in shares of £10 each, and loans of £150,000. Additional of £120,000 in £10 5% preference shares, and loans of £190,000 in 1892.
