London and Brighton Railway Company
Incorporated on 15th July 1837.
A 41 mile line connecting Brighton with the London and Croydon Railway, opened in 1841. It amalgamated with the latter company to form the London, Brighton and South Coast Railway in 1846, now part of the Southern Railway.
Original capital £1,800,000 in shares and loans of £600,000. Capital at amalgamation £3,385,000.
