London Electric Railway Company
Incorporated on 1st July 1910.
An amalgamation of the Great Northern, Piccadilly and Brompton, the Baker Street and Waterloo, and the Charing Cross, Euston and Hampstead Railways. The network of lines totalled 24½ miles, and was extended numerous times into the early 20th century. The company was taken over by the London Passenger Transport Board in 1933 along with others.
Capital £16,800,000 of which £9,327,940 is in ordinary shares, £3,150,000 in 4% preference stock, and £3,791,106 in debenture stock.
