Lowestoft Railway and Harbour Company
Incorporated on 30th June 1845.
An 11½ mile line to link the authorised harbour with the Yarmouth and Norwich Railway in Reedham. The line was opened in 1847 having joined the Norfolk Railway (formed by the Yarmouth and Norwich and Norwich and Bandon) in 1846. It later formed part of the Great Eastern Railway.
Capital £120,000 in Shares of £20 each. Loans of £40,000. Additional capital of £120,000 raised in 1847, and £40,000 in loans.
