Lymington Railway Company
Incorporated on 7th July 1856.
A 4 mile line connecting the town and its pier with the London and South Western Railway. It opened in 1858, extended its route via ferry crossing to Yarmouth on the Isle of Wight, and joined the London and South Western network in 1878.
Capital £21,000 in £10 shares, and loans of £7,000. Increased to purchase the River Ferry, and 5% preference shares created.
