Manchester and Lincoln Union Railway Company
Incorporated on 3rd August 1846.
A 13½ mile line connecting with the Midland Railway in Stavely. The company was dissolved and re-incorporated in 1849 as the Manchester, Sheffield and Lincolnshire Railway to include the Sheffield and Lincolnshire Junction company and others. It was extended into London in the 1890’s and formed the Grand Central Railway.
