Mid-Kent Railway Company
Incorporated on 23rd July 1855.
A 4½ mile line from the West End of London and Crystal Palace Railway (Farnborough Extension) in Beckenham to the South Eastern Railway (North Kent branch) in Lewisham. It opened in 1857, worked by both of the latter companies. The opening of the London, Chatham and Dover line reduced traffic on the Mid Kent and it amalgamated with the South Eastern Railway in 1864.
Capital £80,000 in shares of £25, and loans of £26,500.
