Newcastle-under-Lyme Junction Canal Company
Incorporated in 1798 intended to link Sir Nigel Gresley’s Canal to the main Trent & Mersey Canal network near Etruria but ended up being extension of Gresley’s Canal ending at Stubbs Walks in Newcastle. Abandoned in 1851 and closed in 1864.
