Norfolk Railway Company
Incorporated on 30th June 1845
An amalgamation of the Norwich and Yarmouth, and the Norwich and Brandon Railways. The line was extended by three new branches in 1847, and joined the Lowestoft Railway in 1848, worked by the Eastern Counties Railway.
Original capital £827,500 in shares and £274,800 in loans. Capital for extensions £1,215,000 with loans £404,667. Lowestoft Railway capital £240,000 and loans £80,000.
