Oswestry, Ellesmere and Whitchurch Railway Company
Incorporated on 1st August 1861.
A 20 mile line connecting the Oswestry and Newtown, and the Shrewsbury and Crewe Railways. It opened in 1864 and was amalgamated into the Cambrian Railways.
Capital £150,000 in shares of £10 each. Loans of £50,000. A further £60,000 raised in shares for an extension to Wem in 1862.
