Sevenoaks Railway Company
Incorporated on 1st August 1859. A 5 mile single line connected with the London, Chatham and Dover Railway, which was doubled and extended in 1862 to Maidstone. The line was re-named the Sevenoaks, Maidstone and Tunbridge Railway, and passed to the London, Chatham and Dover Railway in 1879.
Capital £120,000 in shares of £20 each, loans of £40,000. Additional share capital of £825,000 and loans of £271,000 when extended.
