Sheffield and Midland Joint Lines Railway Company
Incorporated on the 24th June 1869. A partnership between the Midland and the Manchester, Sheffield and Lincolnshire companies. Each built extensions to their lines and these were joined to give both companies access to Manchester. The company later passed to the Midland Railway.
